The hut has left me speechless ( and that’s a first!) .

Such a beautiful place to stay, so cosy and quiet, perfect for a weekend break.

The layout of the hut has been so well designed and the decor is lovely!

Extremely clean with all the kitchen appliances and little luxuries you could ever need.

Sarah is a fantastic host and very welcoming.

Thank you for providing the most perfect setting for a weekend away.

After three years od "threatening" to return we finaly managed it for a birthday break, and after three years it still has the look and feel of being breand new inside and out.

A tribute to Sarah for the up keep of the decor and furnishings,

It still has everything you need for a short break, it still is impccably clean and the bed is still so comfortable we could take it home.

Well worth the extra few shilling for the duvet and pillow set.

Keep up the good work!.

Hopefully see you again soon and hopefuly before three years

Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous shepherd's hut with the world - and therefore me, coming from Australia.

This is surely the deluxe suite, in possibly all of Yorkshire - it's certainly unique I recon.

I'd say posthumous thanks should also go to all those brave shepherds of days past who endured rough weather and life in the original huts, whose concept has now been improved, perfected, even by you Sarah and the other sprinklings of shepherds huts that exist.

I'm also booked into on at Basseftwood Farm in the Peak District, next week.

so I hope its as good as this one! Well done!!

Thank you and all the best!!

We stayed at the Shepherds Hut for two nights as attending wedding in the village.

Accommodation in close proximity to Skipsea is limited so this was ideal.

Hut was even more quaint than anticipated, Sarah has clearly thought of everything and Hut felt very roomy - excellent glamping experience.

We arrived shortly after a driver had come of the road and hit power line causing the road to close.

Sarah was very attentive and kept us informed.

When we finally arrived some two hours later power was still out but Sarah ensured we had everything including battery operated lamps and she threw in the fairy lights for free.

Facilities were basic but kept clean.

Found this place very last minute as a long weekend getaway for me and my boyfriend.

In entirely new experience for him as he hasn't really camped before.

Though Sarah was away herself this weekend, we had a very friendly greeting from her and she showed us where everything was.

Even the emails were friendly and full of the information we needed.

The leaflets for all the attractions in the local area were a great idea - even if we didn't do any of them (grim weather Saturday and Sunday were a deciding factor).

It is within good reach of all seaside towns, we visited Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby.

All in all we had a fantastic stay, quiet campsite, just what you want for a short break.

The woodland walk was also a delightful bonus.

Thank you for a lovely stay!

I found this place as a last minute birthday surprise for my partner on

I managed to keep it a surprise until we arrived here today.

Though the pictures and reviews were great, nothing was as good as seeing shepherds hut and staying here in person.

Everything had been thought of, and there was nothing that we needed but couldn't find.

The decor was beautiful, and the little touches made it a home away from home.

My partner loved the bunting and fairy lights. those extras made the experience that little bit more special. Even down to the pint of milk waiting for us in the fridge on arrival and the games above the bed that we both indulged with.

Finally, Sarah you have been wonderful, very friendly and welcoming, and in my opinion, shepherds hut is an extension of you.

Sarah wasn't there when we arrived but her lovely Mum greeted us and showed us round.

The Shepherd's hut was tucked in the corner of the field, by a hawthorn hedge in full bloom. It was just delightful.

We found the local shop and pub. My daughter was too tired to face a meal out so we bought tea at the shop. (Not a huge selection so you might want to plan ahead for a meal).

The inside of the hut was fantastic - so much space AND a large and comfy bed. We 'topped and tailed' with ease.

Only regret we were There for just one night. Oh, and showers lovely and hot.

March 2014

Shepherds Hut

" It was a pleasure and a privilege to be the first guests in Mill Farms first shepherds hut.

A cross between a Romany caravan and a seaside hut is probably best way to describe it but no expense has been spared on this, it looks good from the outside - and even better on the inside, very tastefully decorated and furnished.

It has inside headroom of almost seven feet which gives it a very roomy feel, a custom made "Welsh dresser type" kitchen area consisting of fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware as well as other kitchen utensils all of which are top quality.

There is a wardrobe with coat hangers and shelving below.

One of the most comfortable Queen sized bed you will ever sleep in which also has cavernous storage beneath in the form of two large drawers and well worth the few extra shillings to have the duvet and very comfy pillow set.

There is a table for two which is hinged to the side of the hut and folds down when not used along with two folding chairs with stowage giving free space more than a caravan of the same berth.

The hut is very well insulated and also has double glazing so the oil filled heater does more than a good job even on the most chilly nights, its also very stable and doesn`t rock when walking about inside.

Its well worth the money, well worth a visit go go ahead and "fill yer boots"" <

Tracey Macfarlane Parton.
